The company

Our client, a well established company in the food industry, seeks to recruit an Export Area Sales Manager. 

Main responsibilities

  • Managing an existing clientele, identifying new markets / customers & new opportunities
  • Representation of the company in international fairs / events
  • High frequency of trips in the geographical area of his ​​responsibility
  • Cooperation with the Production Manager in order to ensure the highest level of customer service
  • Making a fixed number of weekly contacts, by phone or in person, as defined by the sales policy for the company's products / services
  • Ownership of the sales data of his customers, preparation to increase sales for his accounts and proposal submissions for the sales objectives of these accounts
  • Analyzes purchasing impacts, develops budgets and purchase criteria for his customers. Analyzes the credit profile of customers, notifies changes in their certificate, send proposals of collaboration & collects orders
  • Submits reports (weekly or monthly) for his contacts and / or visits to customers and prepares sales reports with the collection, analysis and overall presentation of his sales and market trends
  • Solves problems of business relations with customers and monitors the competitors
  • Maintains permanent, accurate records of sales reports and databases with qualitative and quantitative data of sales and activity

Job Requirements

Main Qualifications

  • BSc in Economics, Finance, Business Administration or related field
  • MBA will be considered an advantage
  • At least 5 years of working experience in a relevant role in FMCG companies
  • Experience in attending exhibitions in abroad (SIAL, FANCY FOOD, ANUGA etc.)
  • Proficient in MS Office
  • Excellent command of the English language; both written and oral
  • Knowledge of a second foreign language is an asset
  • Highly developed communication & interpersonal skills
  • Team spirit, decision making & problem solving
  • Organisational & time management skills with the ability to work under strict deadlines
