The company

Our client, a well established FMCG company, seeks to recruit an Export Sales Manager. 

Main responsibilities

  • Manages an existing clientele, identifies new markets / customers & new opportunities
  • Seeks new, creative and innovative ways of expanding the company's business network in the Grocery and Drugstore channel in Germany (i.e. Edeka, Rew e, Kaufland, Muller, Rossmann etc.) and promotes the company's products/brands in specific market channels (retailers, distributors etc.)
  • Represents the company in international fairs / events in Germany and Nordic countries
  • Makes a fixed number of weekly contacts, by phone or in person, as defined by the sales policy for the company's products / services
  • Ownership of the sales data of his customers, preparation to increase sales for his accounts and proposal submissions for the sales objectives of these accounts
  • Maintains permanent, accurate records of sales reports and databases with qualitative and quantitative data of sales and activity
  • Solves problems of business relations with customers and monitors the competitors

Job Requirements

  • BSc in n Economics, Finance, Business Administration or related field
  • MSc will be considered an advantage
  • 3-5 years of proven experience as an International Sales Manager or similar roles in the FMCG industry
  • Experience in attending exhibitions in abroad
  • Excellent command of the English language, both written and oral
  • Excellent command of the German language, both written and oral
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office
  • Great communication, negotiation and presentation skills
  • Organizational & time management skills with the ability to work under strict deadlines
  • Team spirit & a ability to cooperate at all levels
  • Self motivated
