Job Description

Our client, a well-established company in the food production industry, seeks to recruit a Financial / Cost Analyst.

Main Duties

  • Gather and analyse financial data, pertaining product and customer profitability 
  • Lead product costing (new product development, standard costing, budgeting, actuals) 
  • Execute product and conversion cost variance analysis (actuals vs budget) 
  • Prepare detailed reports, both periodically and ad hoc 
  • Create and manage budgets and monitoring spending 
  • Evaluate financially the capital expenditure investments of the company 
  • React pro-actively on opportunities for savings or emerging risks of budget exceeding 
  • Monitor changes in processes or methods to calculate effects on overall costs

Job Requirements

  • BSc in Finance, Accounting and/or Business
  • MBA or MSc in relevant field will be considered a plus
  • 3-5 years of proven experience as a Cost Analyst or similar role in industrial environment (food industry would be a match) 
  • Professional qualification (CFA, ACA,CPA, ACCA) will be considered an asset 
  • Excellent knowledge of English language 
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office (especially excel)
  • Analytical skills 
  • Organisational and time management skills 
  • Excellent communication skills, self-motivated and team player
