Job Description
Our client, a well-established company in the food production industry, seeks to recruit a Financial / Cost Analyst.
Main Duties
- Gather and analyse financial data, pertaining product and customer profitability
- Lead product costing (new product development, standard costing, budgeting, actuals)
- Execute product and conversion cost variance analysis (actuals vs budget)
- Prepare detailed reports, both periodically and ad hoc
- Create and manage budgets and monitoring spending
- Evaluate financially the capital expenditure investments of the company
- React pro-actively on opportunities for savings or emerging risks of budget exceeding
- Monitor changes in processes or methods to calculate effects on overall costs
Job Requirements
- BSc in Finance, Accounting and/or Business
- MBA or MSc in relevant field will be considered a plus
- 3-5 years of proven experience as a Cost Analyst or similar role in industrial environment (food industry would be a match)
- Professional qualification (CFA, ACA,CPA, ACCA) will be considered an asset
- Excellent knowledge of English language
- Advanced knowledge of MS Office (especially excel)
- Analytical skills
- Organisational and time management skills
- Excellent communication skills, self-motivated and team player
