PwC is handling on behalf of its client, a well-established organization, the position of: Non-Executive member of the BoD

Main Duties/ Responsibilities

  • Strategy. Constructively challenge and help develop proposals on strategy alongside with its implementation.
  • Performance. Scrutinise the performance of management in meeting agreed goals and objectives and monitor the reporting of performance. 
  • Risk. The candidate should satisfy himself on the integrity of financial information and that financial controls and systems of risk management are robust and defensible. 
  • People. The candidate will be responsible for having a prime role in appointing executives and being involved in the recruitment process and in succession planning. 
  • Provides planning on strategic investment activities, contributing to the achievement of company’s short and long-term targets.
  • Attend Board committees from time to time

Job Requirements

Qualifications/ Personality Attributes

  • Primary degree in business/ finance or related and/or MBA or equivalent
  • Minimum of 15 Years of proven working experience in senior management/ executive positions (progressively); experience as a member of a BoD will be considered and asset   
  • Experience in Greek large sized/ multinational organizations/ international exposure will be considered an asset
  • Exposure within complex organizations
  • Exposure within highly regulated markets
  • Direct experience of developing and implementing profit-making strategies
  • Strong financial background, including a developed awareness of the investment field/ asset management handling in current role
  • Experience in portfolio management
  • Ability to challenge management
  • Excellent verbal and written Greek and English language skills
  • Computer literate; Excellent knowledge of MS Office
  • Strong leadership and problem solving skills
