Job Description

Our client, a well-established organisation, seeks to recruit a Payroll Officer.

Position's duties:

  • Processes high volume payroll transactions
  • Collects, calculates, and processes payroll data (payroll data calculation, administration of absences - sickness leaves, commissions, overtimes, bonuses)
  • Manages compensation package, taxes and deductions using payroll software
  • Handles work schedules, salary modifications and communication with the public labor authorities
  • Investigates and resolves discrepancies
  • Collects and reviews time sheets and other information
  • Provides customer service to clients on payroll matters and handles grievances
  • Maintains and updates employees’ and department’s records by entering the necessary adjustments

Job Requirements

Main qualifications and personal characteristics:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting or relevant field; Master’s degree will be considered an asset
  • 3-5 years or professional experience in Payroll department
  • Previous experience in data collection, entry and reporting
  • Very good knowledge of labor law and regulations of the field
  • Familiarity with general accounting principle
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills
  • Great attention to detail
  • Highly developed organization skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills both in Greek and English language
