The company

Our client, a global manufacturing company, seeks to recruit a Plant HR Manager. 

Main responsibilities

  • Handles the Plant’s HR practices such as recruitment, staffing, performance evaluation, staff orientation, development and training, exit interviews, compensation/remuneration and benefits administration; succession planning and talent management
  • Assists the HR Director in respect of the development of the HR Strategy by reviewing existing policies, procedures and practices other documents and develops proposals for amendments and/or the introduction of new policies, procedures, practices, and manuals; proposing and implementing new strategic HR initiatives
  • Provides comprehensive support and coaching to plant leaders in all human resources matters with an emphasis on mitigating risk for the company while ensuring employee's rights under employment and labor law
  • Manages complex employee and labor relations matters including ethics complaints, charges and grievances etc.
  • Reviews and proposes to the HR Director organization structure; reviewing organization design, structure & effectiveness, job role analysis & descriptions, competency mapping
  • Develops, proposes and implements organizational development initiatives for values reinforcement, culture building and process simplification
  • Resolves issues / requests of Labor Agencies and other public authorities when needed
  • Oversees payroll data preparation, employee contracts; State Reimbursement concerning training programs
  • Prepares all HR documentation for new hires, contract renewals, expirations, terminations and update relevant databases and HR systems

Job Requirements

  • BSc in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organization Development or relevant field
  • MSc in HRM will be considered an advantage
  • 10 years of HR experience across several functions (i.e. recruitment, employee relations, compensation, employee and management development, etc.), in managerial roles with increasing responsibility
  • HR experience in an industrial or supply chain environment will be an asset
  • Thorough knowledge of employment-related Greek laws and regulation
  • Proficient in MS Office
  • Excellent command of the English language; both written and oral
  • SAP knowledge will be an asset
