The company

Our client, an established organization in Real Estate Development and Investments, seeks to recruit a Real Estate Development Manager.

Main Duties/Responsibilities

Is responsible for the construction and on-site supervision of company

This entails:

  • Conducting of procurement procedures and negotiation with tenderers
    (prospective contractors, sub-contractors and suppliers)
  • Drafting on contracts with contractors, sub-contractors and suppliers
  • On-site supervision of construction from start to building completion
  • Monitoring and reviewing progress and quality of construction works
  • Reviewing and updating construction budget and cashflow forecasts
  • Monitoring on cost overruns, suggesting and taking remedial actions
  • Monitoring and updating construction schedule, taking corrective
    actions to restore the construction process to the original planning in
    case of delays
  • Reporting on the above

Evaluation and cost estimation of prospective new projects

This entails:

  • Knowledge of regulations, performance of planning due diligence and
    contacts with planning authorities where necessary
  • Technical evaluation of land parcels
  • Providing the construction cost input in the feasibility of each project

Participation in the design process of each project

This entails:

  • Performance of value engineering and initial construction cost
  • Drafting of detailed construction budget
  • Cooperation with development personnel, drafting of project
    specifications and identifying opportunities for cost control
  • Market research and selection of materials and suppliers

Job Requirements

Main Qualifications/Personal Characteristics

  • BSc in Engineering (Architecture, Civil Engineering)
  • MSc will be considered an asset
  • 15+ years of experience in on-site supervision, mainly in construction of
    residential and commercial buildings
  • Experience in cost estimation and/or tendering experience
  • Knowledge of planning and building regulations
  • Proficient user of MS Office
  • Excellent command of the English language, both written and oral
  • Highly developed communication skills and ability to cooperate at all levels
  • Strong problem-solving skills and results orientation
  • High level of professionalism, honesty and integrity
