Job Description
Our client, a well-established organization in the Financial Services industry, seeks to recruit a Senior Financial Analyst.
- Produces regular and ad hoc financial reporting
- Develops financial projections, analyzes financial data and creates financial models for decision support
- Assists with budgeting and monthly close processes
- Analyzes past results, performs variance analysis, identifies trends and makes recommendations for improvements
- Forecasts on profits and provides analytical review, feedback and recommendations to executive management and other stakeholders
- Evaluates financial performance by comparing and analyzing actual results with plans and forecasts
- Reviews and investigates the company’s accounting transactions to improve data accuracy
- Analyzes business investment decisions using comparative effectiveness research approach
- Ensures compliance with financial guidelines, company policies and relevant legal regulations.
- Performs other duties as required
Job Requirements
- BSc in Finance, Accounting or relevant field
- MSc will be considered an advantage
- A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in a related role, preferably in the Financial Services industry
- Relevant certification will be considered an asset
- Knowledge of basic accounting principles
- Excellent command of the English language both written and verbal
- Proficient user of MS Office
- Analytical thinking & methodical approach
- Accuracy & attention to detail
- Results orientation & accountability
