The company

Our client, a well-established Greek organization in the courier services industry, seeks to recruit a Senior IT Support Engineer.

Main Duties/Responsibilities

  • Performs day-to-day IT maintenance for desktop users and company infrastructure
  • Identifies areas for improvement in existing software and subsequently implement needed automations; ability to collaborate efficiently by articulating simple technical information
  • Coordinates integration processes and subsequent training with in-hour operational team, as well as IT personnel of our trusted partners and customers in our EU-wide e-fulfillment network, drawing on varied technical expertise and experience in the eCommerce sector
  • Improves control flow logic and system management within our service monitoring platform
  • Works openly with the rest of the IT department, the CTO and external tech consultants.

Job Requirements

  • BSc/BA in Computer Science, Computer Software Engineering or Informatics
  • MSc will be considered an advantage
  • Minimum 4 years in a relevant role
  • At least 2 years experience in Desktop Support
  • Experience in ERP and CRM software, both as user and support
  • Enterprise use of development tools and programming languages including PHP, MySQL, Commercial ERP systems is required
  • Knowledge in Windows or Linux server, IDE (e.g. Visual Studio / VS code), JavaScript, Microsoft C#, NoSQL (e.g. MongoDB, Redis, Memcached), Node.js is preferred
  • Excellent command of the English language, both written and oral
  • Proficient user of MS Office, especially in Excel & PowerPoint
  • Resourceful character, suited to an innovative fast paced team
  • Positive work ethic, proactive approach and sense of ownership
  • Willing and open to new technologies and ways of working
