On behalf of our client, ELPEDISON, we are looking to recruit a Senior Technical Services Officer.

The Position

The Technical Services Officer’s role is to perform all required activities that are associated to the current and potential technical services of Elpedison. The primary services that the Technical Services Officer will manage are, among others, the residential PV net-metering solution and heat-pumps solution, while also involved with e-mobility services for the broad market. The position’s activities indicatively include technical analysis, business model set- up, contract formulation in collaboration with the legal dept., service launch, vendor management, project management, life-cycle management and evaluation.
The Technical Services Officer must have working experience in energy related projects, the ability to execute detailed technical & business analysis by taking into account multiple factors. In addition, he/she should have the skills to manage project implementation of service launches, create and cultivate strategic relationships with vendors, perform analysis and best market practices benchmarking, and have the ability to present services & solutions to customers and potential partners.

Main Duties/ Responsibilities

  • Manages project timelines and deliverables and provides them at defined project milestones
  • Creates reports, presentation, spreadsheets, etc. Supports findings, analysis of potential and ongoing services
  • Evaluates market trends, best practices, existing solutions, competition landscape and potential vendors that match organization's needs and invigorates its overall proposition to customers
  • Defines new product/service features and functionality (business case, marketing requirements specifications, and business requirement specifications) in collaboration with service manager and associated project stakeholders
  • Meets with customers to present organization's Technical solutions; Services or/and Technologies
  • Introduces new services to the organization
  • Creates contracts and terms & conditions for related Service offerings or projects
  • Promotes newly launched Services via various vehicles, participates at events or direct sales
  • Provides sales teams with associated information, training sessions and material as to promote the technical services of the company
  • Manages all vendors of associated products/projects to ensure the highest quality service, best prices/quotations and shortest timelines
  • Manages elements of service to ensure their evolution, competitiveness, and excellent customer experience

Job Requirements

Main Qualifications/Personal Characteristics

  • BSc in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related field
  • MSc is prerequisite
  • Additional degree in Business or Economics will be considered an advantage
  • At least 5 years of working experience in technical services management, service development or implementing technical projects in the Energy sector 
  • Experience in energy efficiency projects/ products is considered an asset
  • Very good understanding of the Energy Sector
  • Strong technical or/and technology skills
  • Proficient in MS Office
  • Excellent command of the English language; both written and oral
  • Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills
  • Very good analytical and synthesis skills with numerical understanding
  • Accountability and result orientation
